Thanks for your interest in Walberton Squirrels, we are making plans to open a Squirrel Drey, for boys and girls aged 4 and 5 years old, during the summer term 2026.
It’s our intention for ‘Walberton Squirrel Drey‘ to meet weekly during school term time, on Saturdays 10 to 11am at the Pavilion, Walberton. This is subject to sufficient interest and a team of volunteers coming forward to lead the drey. We know this day and time slot will not suit all families, but have chosen to go with this for now. In the future we’d also like to establish a ‘Barnham Squirrel Drey’ so contact Mark if you’d like to volunteer – so far we have no day, time or venue identified.
Walberton Squirrels Open Event – Saturday 6th June, 10 to 11am at the Pavilion, Walberton.
This is an opportunity for children aged 4 and 5 years old, parents and carers, and potential volunteers to come and find out more about what Squirrels has to offer, participate in our welcome session and learn more about what’s involved in volunteering. An adult must attend with the children and due to limited space other children can not attend the session.
Providing there is sufficient interest, we plan to run four taster sessions 10 to 11am on Saturday: 20th June, 27th June, 4th July and 11th July. So if you can’t attend the open event, please still register to get details of the taster session.
Please note, children must be aged 4 years old by 6th June 2026 to participate, and we’d recommend not attending if your child will be 6 years old by 30th September 2026. Instead you can join our waiting list for Beavers; children aged 6 years old by 30th September can start from the autumn term – subject to space in our Barnham Beavers (Tuesday) or Walberton Beavers (Wednesday).
